Erica manipuliflora or Autumn heather is a common phrygana bush flowering in late summer and autumn. It can grow up to a metre in height and can be found from sea level all the way to around 2000m in open rocky and sandy grounds, light woodlands, phrygana and maquis. It can also grow in cliffs (the 3rd photo from the top shows a plant growing from a crevice in a cliff).
The flowers are generally pink or purple but can also (rarely) be white.
