Helychrissum conglobatum is a common bush growing in phrygana as well as coastal areas. It flowers from March to June. Its
botanical name was derived from the Greek words helisso (to
turn around) and chrysos (gold).
The flowers are
a striking gold that contrasts beautifully with the
silvery colour of the stem and leaves.
