Onosma erectum is a perennial with erect hairy stems and hairy leaves. The bright yellow flowers are up to 2.5cm in length. Endemic to southern Greece and the Aegean, Onosma erectum grows in cliffs and slopes of cypress and pine woodlands at altitudes between 150m and 1800m. It flowers in April and May.
