Tulipa cretica or Cretan tulip is a Cretan endemic tulip which can be found from sea level to 2000m in calcareous phrygana, rock crevices, open slopes and even scree. It is the most widespead of the tulips that can be found on Crete. It generally stays quite small, not exceeding 15cm in size and flowers from February to May.
